Things to Consider
- For use in new masonry walls
- For use during wall construction
- Anchor installs in jambs and is placed between courses of block wall
- Ships loose (No option to install)
- Can be made for any jamb depth
- 1 anchor needed for each 30” of jamb (not used in head or sill)
- 16 gauge and 10 inches long overall
- Approved for use in fire rated walls up to 3 hours (180 minutes)
- Most expensive anchor for new masonry walls
- Requires a different anchor for each jamb depth
- Also uses standard base anchor for fastening frame to floor before wall construction
Red Flags
- Will require a special anchor for single rabbet profiles
- Loose anchors are commonly misused (using too many) or lost on job site
- Jamb or block must be mortar filled for this anchor to be most effective
