Things to Consider

  • For use in new masonry walls
  • For use during wall construction
  • Anchor installs in jambs and is placed between courses of block wall
  • Ships loose (No option to install)
  • Can be made for any jamb depth
  • 1 anchor needed for each 30” of jamb (not used in head or sill)
  • 16 gauge and 10 inches long overall
  • Approved for use in fire rated walls up to 3 hours (180 minutes)
  • Most expensive anchor for new masonry walls
  • Requires a different anchor for each jamb depth
  • Also uses standard base anchor for fastening frame to floor before wall construction

Red Flags

  • Will require a special anchor for single rabbet profiles
  • Loose anchors are commonly misused (using too many) or lost on job site
  • Jamb or block must be mortar filled for this anchor to be most effective
