These “Z”-shaped clips welded in the throat of each jamb contact the steel studs framing the rough opening. Installers can then drive screws through the studs and into the anchors in several locations.
Typically the anchor is flush with the returns on the back of the frame, but upon request we can inset the anchor 1/4″ for fire rated frames and virtually any depth on non fire rated frames as needed for the installer’s framing preference.
