Ordering & Lead Times

What are your standard lead times?

HMF Express offers two lead time tiers: Express (1–7 business days) and Standard (8–10 business days). Availability depends on the product type and current production schedule. Contact your regional sales rep to confirm the lead time for your specific order.

How do I place an order?

All orders are placed through your regional HMF Express sales representative. If you don't have a rep, contact us and we'll connect you with the right person. Your rep will review your specifications, confirm pricing and lead time, and process your order.

Can I order custom sizes?

Yes. HMF Express manufactures to custom specifications. Standard sizing ranges are listed in our catalog, and most sizes outside those ranges can be accommodated. Contact your rep to confirm feasibility and lead time for non-standard sizes.

Is there a minimum order quantity?

HMF Express does not have a published minimum order quantity. Contact your regional rep to discuss your project's needs — we work with orders of all sizes.

Products & Specifications

What gauges of steel do you offer?

HMF Express doors are available in 14, 16, 18, and 20 gauge. Frames are available in 14 and 16 gauge. The appropriate gauge depends on your project's requirements — heavier gauge for high-traffic or impact-prone openings, lighter gauge for standard applications.

Do your doors and frames meet fire rating requirements?

Yes. HMF Express offers fire-rated doors and frames in 20, 45, 60, and 90-minute ratings. Fire-rated products are tested and listed per NFPA 80 requirements. Specify the required fire rating at the time of order.

What finish do doors and frames ship with?

Standard HMF Express products ship with a grey primer coat (A40 galvannealed or standard cold-rolled steel with primer, depending on the product). The primer is designed to accept field-applied finish coat paint. Custom factory finishes may be available — contact your rep.

Can I order just doors or just frames, or do they have to be ordered together?

Doors and frames can be ordered separately or together. However, for proper fit and fire rating compliance, it is important that the door and frame are specified together and that the frame is sized correctly for the door. Your rep can help ensure the door/frame combination is coordinated.
