Frame Anchors

Anchoring systems that secure hollow metal frames to the wall structure at every point of contact — specified at the time of frame order and installed at the factory.

The correct anchor selection depends on your wall construction type and the frame application. HMF Express frames come with factory-installed anchors specified to NAAMM HMMA 830 standards. Review your wall construction type and consult your rep or the catalog for the appropriate anchor schedule.

Floor anchor frame

Floor Anchor

Provides positive stop at the bottom of the frame and anchors to the floor substrate — required for most applications.

Fixed strap anchor

Strap Anchor

Flat steel strap welded to the frame back and embedded in masonry or screwed to metal studs.

Wire loop anchor for masonry walls

Wire Anchor

Adjustable wire loop anchor for masonry walls — allows for precise frame positioning during block or brick laying.

Jamb anchor strap and yoke

Jamb Anchor

Clip-type anchor welded to the jamb back for attachment to metal stud or wood stud walls.

Base anchor frame

Base Anchor

Heavy-gauge base anchor plate for installations requiring additional stability at the frame base.

T-strap adjustable anchor

T-Strap Anchor

T-shaped strap anchor for masonry applications where strap anchors won't provide adequate pull-out resistance.

Base — Standard

Fixed connection at frame jamb base. Set in concrete or fastened to floor during installation.

Base — Adjustable

Vertical adjustment for uneven floor conditions. Precise leveling after frame is set.

Base — Inverted

Anchor tab points upward into wall cavity. For finished floor installations.

Base Clips

Small steel clips at frame jamb base. Field-adjustable for various floor conditions.

Base Hole

Factory-punched hole at jamb base for field-installed lag bolts, concrete anchors, or screws.

Bolt Anchors

Through-bolted frame-to-structure connection for maximum pull-out resistance.

Compression Anchor

Spring-loaded mechanism applies continuous outward pressure against wall studs. No fasteners at anchor point.

EMA — Butterfly

Folding butterfly wings expand behind existing masonry for secure hold. No mortar required.

EMA — Pipe Sleeve

Pipe sleeve through frame into masonry. Bolt tightens frame against solid masonry or concrete.

EMA — Top Hat

Hat-shaped profile wedges into existing masonry mortar joints with fastener through frame.

Mullion Anchor

Secures intermediate mullion members to head and sill of multi-opening frame assemblies.

Mullion Base

Floor connection for intermediate mullion base. Prevents lateral movement, keeps mullion plumb.

Multi-Purpose

Single anchor design for masonry, drywall, and wood stud walls. Reduces specification complexity.

Lead Lined Combo Strap

Lead shielding at anchor penetration prevents radiation leakage for lead lined frame installations.

Punch & Dimple

Factory-punched hole with countersink dimple for flush fastener head into wall structure.

Punch Face

Slot in frame throat for face-fastening where backside access is not available.

Sill Anchor

Secures bottom sill member of 4-sided and borrowed lite frames to the floor substrate.

Steel Stud

Clip-style attachment for metal stud wall framing. Screw or weld to stud.

Strap — Adjustable

Slotted hole for horizontal adjustment. Accommodates wall thickness and stud placement variations.

“T” Anchor

T-shaped profile embedded in masonry mortar joints for greater pull-out resistance.

Wire Anchor

Heavy-gauge wire loop extends into masonry mortar joint. Adjustable positioning before mortar sets.

Wood Stud

Screw attachment into wood studs for wood-framed drywall partition installations.

Wood & Steel Stud

Dual-purpose anchor for mixed wood and metal stud framing conditions.
