Specifying frame components at the time of order ensures factory-precision installation. All reinforcements are located per ANSI/BHMA standards, and all preps are confirmed prior to shipment.

Strike reinforcing in door frame

Strike Reinforcing

Heavy-gauge steel strike plate reinforcement for cylindrical, mortise, and deadbolt locksets.
Hinge reinforcing prep

Hinge Reinforcing

Full-length hinge reinforcement channel welded into the jamb for proper door weight transfer.
Full sleeve closer reinforcing in frame header

Closer Reinforcing

Header-mounted reinforcement for surface-mounted door closers. Parallel arm and regular arm configurations.
Frame silencer prep

Silencers

Rubber bumper silencers (typically 3 per single frame) installed at factory to cushion door closing.
Stop bead

Stop Bead

Steel stop bead welded inside the frame to limit door swing — used in lieu of a floor stop in some applications.
Dust box frame component

Dust Box

Factory-installed dust box in the door rabbet at the bottom of the strike jamb to seal out debris.

Applied Stop

Welded or screwed stop member for cased openings, double egress, and specialty frames without integral stops.

Fasteners

Self-drilling screws, machine screws, lag bolts, and expansion anchors for frame installation.

Glazing Bead

Steel trim pieces that hold glass in borrowed lite, sidelight, and transom frame openings.

Hardware Plates

Flat steel reinforcement plates factory-welded at closer, holder, and stop mounting locations.

Junction Boxes

Factory-installed wiring connection points for electric strikes, mag locks, and door switches.

Mortar Guards

Steel shields at hardware preps to prevent mortar and debris fill during masonry construction.

Mullions

Fixed and removable vertical/horizontal members for paired doors, borrowed lites, and sidelights.

Reinforcements

Heavy-gauge steel backing at hinge, strike, closer, and exit device locations. Factory-welded to ANSI/BHMA positions.

Spreader Bar

Temporary steel brace maintains correct opening width during shipping and installation. Removed after wall is built.

Stick Frame

Individual jamb and head profile sticks for field assembly. Maximum flexibility for custom and renovation openings.
