Thermal Break Frame
HMF Express thermal break frames incorporate a polyamide or foam insulating barrier between the interior and exterior steel faces of the frame, interrupting the conductive steel path and significantly reducing thermal bridging at exterior door openings. Required in high-performance building envelopes, cold storage applications, and projects meeting ASHRAE 90.1 energy standards. By stopping the steel-to-steel thermal bridge, condensation and heat loss at the frame are both substantially reduced compared to standard hollow metal frames.
