Silencer Prep
Silencer preps are factory-drilled holes in the frame stop that accept rubber bumper silencers. Silencers cushion the door as it closes, reducing noise and preventing metal-to-metal contact between the door edge and frame stop. Standard configuration is three silencers per single frame (two on the strike jamb, one on the head).
