Steel Stiffened Core
Steel stiffened core doors feature 22 GA vertical steel stiffeners at 6" centers maximum with fiberglass insulation fill and butted edge seam construction. This core type delivers the highest fire rating capability — up to 3 hours — and supports the widest range of face sheet gauges (18 through 12 GA) and door sizes up to 5-0 x 12-0 single or 10-0 x 12-0 pair.
