The lock edge bevel and door undercut are two specifications that affect how the door fits within its frame and clears the flooring material below. Specifying these correctly at time of order eliminates field modifications and ensures proper hardware and sealing performance.

  • Undercut options from 3/4" to 2" for floor clearance

Lock Edge Bevel Standard 1/8" in 2"(For a 1 3/4" door is 7/64" per side)
Hinge Edge Square (no bevel)
Standard Undercut 3/4" (most common)
Extended Undercut 1", 1 1/4", 1 1/2", 2" available
Applications Carpet, raised thresholds, and flooring transitions
Note Undercut may affect fire rating and smoke seal performance
